BEFORE: A standard hinged door between the Master Bedroom and the Bath.
AFTER: The entry has been widened to 4', and two pocket doors have been installed in a new 2x6 partition (the old 2x4 wall was removed).
BEFORE: The vanity location did not change.
AFTER: new wall-hung vanity by Porcelanosa in the same location as the old one.
BEFORE: a bathtub (that nobody used) occupied space between the toilet alcove and the vanity. This is where I designed the new tile and glass shower, closing off the toilet in a water closet.
AFTER: a new pocket door into the water closet, with a new wall-hung toilet in the original location.
BEFORE: a fiberglass shower stall was opposite the toilet. Let's move it.
AFTER: new shower with body sprays, rain shower head, shampoo niches, and corner seat. Luxury!
AFTER: the new tub and platform take up the entire addition, opposite the vanity and shower.
AFTER: Slim 46" wall-hung gas fireplace by Spark.
AFTER: These Pella windows have blinds between the glass, although this property is so secluded that they're rarely used.
BEFORE: If this house looks familiar it's because you saw the other side of it here.
AFTER: notice how the addition's roof matches the metal used around the existing lower level workshop, and how its pitch matches the house.
AFTER: from the front, with the blinds closed.
AFTER: so much glass makes the owners feel as if they're relaxing in an outside tub -- especially when they open the windows for a cross breeze.
AFTER: A field change to add another step was nicely executed by the builder. The split upper step allows access to the tub motor - that center tile is attached with magnets.
