This custom home on a steep river site doesn't really fit into the standard Front/Left/Rear/Right categories, which are typically given to each elevation of a structure.  The front and the right elevations both face the road.  The left elevation, overlooking the Cacapon River, feels like a rear elevation but looks like a front elevation to kayakers on the river.

A pretty location like this deserves to be appreciated in good weather and in bad!  Windows throughout the home were located and sized for maximum indoor enjoyment of the foliage and wildlife.  The upper windows are directly across from the loft in the foreground.

It was on the clients' "Must" list to be able to see the river from their master bath tub.  Done and done.
