It’s 2012 and the Fine Line Home Design phones are really ringing! People seem to be more optimistic about the economy and are calling with new additions and homes, hoping to get plans completed for groundbreaking in the spring. If you expect to build this spring, please e-mail tracy@finelinehomedesign.com or call 301-416-8499 to schedule your free initial consultation. Depending on the size and complexity of your job, the entire design and drawing process generally takes a few weeks to a few months, from the time you send in your signed contract until the time that you have the completed drawings in hand to apply for your building permit. In addition, don’t forget to factor in the time it will take for the Plan Review department of your county to review the drawings before issuing your permit - spring is the historically their busiest time of the year.
